Upcoming:
Playing Fay in a workshop production of Josh Beerman's new play, Ugly

Fay, a social worker, and single mother of an unruly teen, is hired by a law firm to write a history of the people involved in the murder of a hasidic girl.   Near the end of her job she finds a challenge she didn't expect; the last person to be interviewed before she is finished, the victim's now single father, Aba.  It seems Aba will never talk to Fay, but when he finally does, an unlikely relationship develops between parents and children, as the lines between beauty and ugly are blurred.

3 Women
based on the 1977 film by Robert Altman
directed by Anna Brenner

Inspired by Robert Altman's 1977 film, 3 Women s a dreamlike investigation of personalty and identity through the perspectives of three women in a dusty California town. Upon meeting, their eccentricities and need for friendship drive them to steal and trade each others personae, eventually creating one they can all share.

from the Columbia Spectator, by Geetika Rudra:
"
The play is carried by Melissa Brown’s performance as Millie. Millie yearns to be liked by others but finds herself neglected and ignored....Brown conveys a passion and insecurity that resonate with the audience, making her perhaps the most relatable character."

What If/ The Disorder Plays reviewed by Quinn Conway in Review Fix online:

"Utilized brilliantly to segue between performances, Brown comes out between each play...  The final performance, What If…, puts Brown in the spotlight as it is revealed that her neurotic tendencies are more than just tendencies. Going into a veritable diatribe on the possibilities of what if, Brown is impressive in her delivery as she goes from wondering what happens when a chunk of ice falls off a glacier to what if the man in the third row had a heart attack."
